Tough Mudder is the TOUGHEST one day event on the planet. This is not your average mud run or boring, spirit-crushing road race. Our 7-12 mile obstacle courses are designed by British Special Forces to test all around toughness, strength, stamina, fitness, camaraderie, and mental grit. Forget about your finish time. Simply completing the event is a badge of honor. Not everyone will finish, but those who do make it to our post-event party will have truly earned the right to call themselves a Tough Mudder. All Tough Mudder sponsorship proceeds go to our exclusive charity partner, The Wounded Warrior Project. As part of the event, each PBA member has committed to raise $150.00 per member towards the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project helps support the needs of severely injured service men and women. If you are interested in helping support this great cause please click on the Mahwah pba logo.

The 2009 Mahwah P.B.A. Car Show was a great success! Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors that helped make it happen. With over 200 cars ranging from classic to exotic it was bound to be a great show. People came from near and far. Some were there to compete by entering their car for a chance to win one of the great trophies or plaques. Others were there to just have some fun. There were several vendors selling pizza, hot dogs, and mexican food. People also got the opportunity to enter a raffle and meet the car show raffle girls. People who entered got the opportunity to win a LCD TV, Blue-Ray player, or cash. The kids also had a great time with the inflatable bouncing rooms.

A grateful thanks goes out to the volunteers from the Mahwah P.B.A, Lincoln Technical Institute, Boy Scouts Troop 50, and The Mahwah High School Interact club. With out your help the car show would not be possible.

September 11, 2009

This year, on September 11th, with the support of the Mahwah PBA and the New York Sports Club, I will be teaching a minimum of six spin classes at the Mahwah location. For those that don't know, each spin class consists of approximately 50 minutes on a stationary bicycle with adjustable resistance.  This specific event is to raise money and awareness for the 9/11 first responders who were injured and who are sick from the events that day and the months to follow.  All proceeds will be going to http://www.fealgoodfoundation.com/, which is a charity that supports members of FDNY, FDNY EMS, NYPD and others who sacrificed in order to assist in the recovery operation of that tragic event.

In order to sign up for a class that day, please call the New York Sports Club in Mahwah 201-848-0015.  Refreshments and giveaways will be provided as well as a chance to meet some of the responders.  If you cannot attend a class and wish to donate based on our efforts, please click on the link below for further information.  I assure you that this is a noteworthy cause and the website will give you further enlightenment on the struggles and injustices that these good samaritans are facing on a day to day basis.  Please forward this email and please remember 9/11.

Respectfully,

Brother Michael Grassi

CHARITY EXTREME

December 21, 2008

Each year, between 140 and 160 officers are killed in the line of duty and their families and co-workers are left to cope with the tragic loss. Concerns Of Police Survivors Inc. (C.O.P.S.) provides resources to help them rebuild their shattered lives. The Mahwah PBA is a proud sponsor of the C.O.P.S. 25 way skydive. Brother Connington is the only Law Enforcement Officer from NJ and will be joining other Officers from around the country. Each skydiver agreed to raise $1000.00 to benefit this cause. To learn more about C.O.P.S. or how to donate please select any of the three pictures to your left.
